It is now 10 am. The early birds are singing a wake up song. However, the song stopped and a sound of trashing rain overwhelmed small and high voices of the birds. I got up, not because the birds but the rains. The sound of rain falling of a metal roof struck me and caused me to change into a sitting position rather than lying down on my bed. I looked out of the window, with cool air blowing in constantly. About when a little smell of chlorine, just like the swimming pool, reached my nose; the soft rain turned into a storm. I sat up on my warm and comfortable bed thinking that another day has come and it is time to get out of bed. However, all that I did was falling back down, eyes wide open, and just listening to the rain hitting the metal roof.
By the time I got out of bed, it was already 11 am. It is still raining outside. I quickly showered and got dressed. Rainy days at home is just so relaxing; having cool breeze blowing past my face every five seconds. However, as a result of that, I did not feel like doing anything at all. I just want to go back to bed. So I just sat down on the veranda outside the living room and left my mind blank. It was nice to have a clear mind and just not have a care in the world. I, then, realized my stomach growling. Right, I have not eaten anything since I got up. I went back into the house, looking into the refrigerator in hope of finding something to eat but there were no leftovers in there. I had to cook on the day that I am laziest. I gathered up some vegetables, rice, and an egg. Those ingredients then transformed into yummy fried rice. I went back out to the veranda, with a plate full of fried rice, and sat down at the exact same spot that I was 20 minutes ago. When I finally finished the rice, my mother yelled out for me to go do my homework, but I was feeling lazy. So just like my mother wanted, I went inside my room, opened up a word document on my laptop.
The last thing I remembered from that day was me walking towards my comfortable bed with a blank page of word document opened on my laptop. This is all the rain’s fault, making me lazy.
